(Do It Yourself) DJ rental equipment packaged in a custom-designed, super easy to use system. Although our name is MiniDJ, we do NOT provide a live person at your event, we only provide our MiniDJ system which includes equipment and music on a rental basis.

We find many people simply pick a couple of pre-made playlists, add a few extra songs from the massive built in library, reorganize or remove a few songs, and press play. You can set up a night’s worth of music in only a few minutes. Karaoke lyrics appear automatically when available, so guests can just grab a mic and sign when they’re good and ready! Need to adjust the volume or skip to the next song, no problem, it’s just the press of a button.
Of course, there are a few exceptions. For example, if you're having a wedding and would like to have music at a specific time (e.g. at the ceremony), you'll probably want a friend or relative available to take care of that for you. However, that usually just requires pressing a few buttons on the MiniDJ system at the appropriate time.
Yes! MiniDJ has a massive built-in music library. You can search for songs or artists, pick your favorites, and add them to the upcoming playlist right on the MiniDJ system. While the MiniDJ system comes pre-loaded with over 40 great DJ created playlists, you’re not locked into the songs in the playlist or the order. You can add additional songs, remove songs, reorganize the playlist, and even add multiple playlists.
If the party is going great, we don’t think you should have to shell out extra money to keep it going. That’s why every MiniDJ system includes a full day’s rental whether we’re delivering it or you’re picking it up. That means you can have MiniDJ delivered in the morning, use it all day long, and have it picked up the following day (within 24 hours) for one low cost!
No, far from it. Sure, MiniDJ does include professional audio equipment, but it’s so much more. MiniDJ includes both professional audio hardware fully integrated into a custom machined enclosure coupled with software that’s custom designed to be incredibly simple to use. Not typically, because nobody will need to, it’s really that easy! MiniDJ has been designed to be incredibly simple to use and no training is required. MiniDJ is controlled exclusively by a giant touchscreen with no confusing knobs, buttons, or faders to use. If you need a little extra help, we include on-screen instructions on the system to answer any questions you may have. Of course, we’re also here to help by phone, chat, or email if you run in to any difficulties! Also, if someone is around while we are setting up the equipment, we're more than happy to help and show you how to use the system as well!
Since MiniDJ includes free delivery to many areas, it is typically packed for delivery and is not available for viewing or demonstrations. However, we’ve done our best to provide video, photos, and tons of information here on our website so you know exactly what you’re getting! If you have any additional questions, we’re more than happy to speak with you and answer any questions. Also, there are occasions where we may have a MiniDJ system at a public event or trade show (e.g. bridal show), so just ask us and we’d be happy to check for you!
Due to the low cost of MiniDJ, with our typical reservation we require payment in full at the time of booking (since the entire cost of MiniDJ is typically less than the deposit for many other vendors for your event). This option includes our no-risk cancellation policy. However, if you’d prefer to reserve a MiniDJ system but can’t afford the full price today, we have another option—a $99 non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due one week prior to your reservation date. This gives you the flexibility to reserve a system today for only $99 and pay later.
Yes. MiniDJ features simple to use universal inputs so you can connect your own phone, computer, or other device! Playing off of your own device is a simple as connecting it and pressing play!
MiniDJ consists of high-power professional sound equipment and it’s been used at various event types of various sizes. However, if you’re having a 300+ person wedding in the grand ballroom, MiniDJ may not be the right fit for your event as it has been designed for typical sized events. If you have questions about your specific venue or event, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide more specific guidance.
If you need announcements, we find that at most events there are plenty of willing friends or relatives that are more than happy to handle your announcements, and they’ll probably do a better job than many DJs. If you have a lot of announcements, hire an actual MC and you’ll still save over a traditional DJ. The MiniDJ system includes two wireless mics, so we've already included everything you need!
Yes! We have computer controlled intelligent lighting available as an available option. While not every event may need lighting, it’s a great option to add that extra level of excitement. Also, we’ve made it available at a very reasonable cost.
Simple. We include on-screen lyrics which automatically scroll to thousands of songs in our library. The lyrics play automatically on our giant built-in display, so you can just grab a mic and sing when you're feeling it! Keep in mind that we do not include the traditional instrument-only karaoke remakes you may find in your local karaoke joint as we find that most customers prefer the original artist version with lyrics to sing along to. You know, what you're used to singing in your car!
